April Davis joined Gungoll, Jackson, Box & Devoll, P.C. as Senior Attorney in September of 2019. Practicing in Enid for over 20 years, she possesses substantial experience the areas of insurance defense, family law, criminal law, personal injury and civil litigation.
April has co-authored Vernon’s Criminal Practice and Procedure Supplement Volume 2A and 2B with Stephen Jones. Written by a group of prominent Oklahoma practitioners and professors, Vernon’s Oklahoma Forms help prepare legal documents covering jury instructions, real property, business organizations, civil procedure, substantive criminal law and procedure, consumer law and commercial law quickly and accurately.
April serves the community by holding or having held positions on a number of boards and committees such as March of Dimes, Junior Welfare League of Enid, Oakwood Country Club Executive Board and the Charity Ball Committee serving the Enid Free Medical Clinic. April is also a member of Pi Beta Phi Alumni Club, University of Oklahoma Sooner Club, International Association of Insurance Receivers and the Garfield County Bar Association.
She grew up in Norman, Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma where she obtained a B.A. with distinction in Political Science in 1994 before graduating with distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1997. Her previous experience includes working as a staff writer on the University of North Dakota Law Review, serving on the UND Criminal Law Clinic and providing criminal defense to indigent clients under the supervision of a staff attorney.
April lives in Enid with her husband, Tom, and their two children. Together, the family enjoys playing golf, attending OU football and basketball games and traveling.
