Wade Gungoll to join corporate leadership team at Cardinal River Energy

      OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. -- Effective Nov. 1, 2011, Wade D. Gungoll, associate attorney, will leave the law firm of Gungoll, Jackson, Collins, Box & Devoll, P.C., in order to accept a corporate position with Cardinal River Energy -- an oil and gas exploration business headquartered in downtown Oklahoma City. In making this transition, Wade Gungoll will be leaving the practice of the law. "Wade's decision to leave the Firm was a very difficult one for him to make, but he made it after being presented with a unique opportunity from one of our own clients," said Bradley A. Gungoll, Wade's father and a founding partner of the Firm.

      At Cardinal River Energy, Wade Gungoll will participate in all aspects of the oil and gas exploration business. "While I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with Wade, and we, as a Firm, hate to see him leave, we understand his desire to work in the energy industry. Wade Gungoll, 29, graduated from Columbia University School of Law in 2007. Additionally, Gungoll graduated with a bachelor of arts with honors from Yale University in 2004. Gungoll was born and raised in Enid, Okla., where he graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 2000. Gungoll gained experience within and developed a personal expertise about the energy industry and energy-related issues through his experience at Gungoll Jackson and in various internships with Oklahoma-based energy businesses. "Gungoll Jackson enjoys some of the most prolific oil and gas clients in the state, if not the country. Over the past four years, I've been fortunate to serve those clients by doing substantial work on energy-related matters. Through that valuable experience, I came to the realization that I want to work within the energy industry," Wade Gungoll said.

      At Cardinal River Energy, Wade Gungoll will be working directly with Frank A. Schroeder and Jay C. Jimerson where Gungoll will focus on all business aspects of Cardinal River's oil and gas projects. Wade Gungoll has written two scholarly articles for the Oklahoma Bar Journal, to include most recently, "Regulation of Greenhouse Gases: New Reporting Requirements Effective Immediately," published in April 2010.
